Mary Pat and I rode our bikes from Sister Bay to Gill's Rock. We then took the Island Clipper Ferry to Washington Island and spent a couple of hours riding around the island before returning to Door County. |

The chance to climb another fire tower but Mary Pat decided not to join me. Here's the 119 steps I climbed to reach the top of the hill where the fire tower is located. |

This fire tower on Washington Island isn't as tall as the one we visited in Penninsula State park but it doesn't need to be. I had to climb those 119 steps to reach the top of this hill before I climbed the tower. |

The view from the top of this tower is impressive but the fall colors haven't yet reached Washington Island either. |
