Mary Pat and I rode our bikes from Sister Bay to Gill's Rock. We then took the Island Clipper Ferry to Washington Island and spent a couple of hours riding around the island before returning to Door County.

This is the "Island Clipper", the ferry that transported us to Washington Island and back.

Same location, but using the wide angle lens this time

Leaving Door County. Most of the passengers are below which is where we're heading after this picture. It's not really that chilly though.

The "Red Cup Cafe" where Mary Pat found hot coffee and a scone.

Mary Pat is using the hot coffee to warm her fingers. Bike gloves have the finger portion cut off and sometimes, the digits get a bit cold.

The chance to climb another fire tower but Mary Pat decided not to join me. Here's the 119 steps I climbed to reach the top of the hill where the fire tower is located.

This fire tower on Washington Island isn't as tall as the one we visited in Penninsula State park but it doesn't need to be. I had to climb those 119 steps to reach the top of this hill before I climbed the tower.

The view from the top of this tower is impressive but the fall colors haven't yet reached Washington Island either.
